Darress Theater, Boonton, NJ

The Darress is an old vaudeville theater in Northern NJ.  It's the only "reverse" theater left which means when you enter, you're coming in from the front, under the stage.  As part of the vaudeville circuit, it's hosted greats such as WC Fields, Mae West, the Marx Bros, and now Rael - The Music of Genesis.  We had the whole night to ourselves and the crowd was small but responsive and appreciative.  The theater sound was great and our hosts were very easy-going and gracious.

Tralf Music Hall, Buffalo, NY

The owner of the Tralf Music Hall contacted US!!  Apparently, there are a lot of Genesis devotees in Buffalo and since the Musical Box kinda priced themselves out of any smaller markets and there's a serious dearth of Genesis tribute bands in the area, they found Rael.  They offered to make it worth our while to travel up to Buffalo to play.  We played alone to a very receptive audience and Bernard "Pretty" Purdie came down to see us and actually sat in after our second encore.  We had a blast and will totally go back again.  The Tralf is a great venue and Buffalo's a great city.

The Chance, Poughkeepsie, NY

The Chance is another old vaudeville theater with lots of character in the heart of Poughkeepsie.  RAEL's third show, second theater.  Openers Kid & the Koots and Full Moon Fever (Tom Petty Tribute) warmed up the crowd for RAEL's first headline show.

The Paramount, Huntington, NY

RAEL's second show was at The Paramount.  "The Paramount in Huntington landed at No. 23 on Billboard’s list of America’s Top Clubs, after drawing nearly 128,000 visitors to the venue last year. The only other New York-area club on the list was Irving Plaza at No. 17." - Glenn Gamboa.  RAEL was recruited by The Paramount to open for a national act, Dave Brock's Doors Experience.

Crossroads, Garwood, NJ

This was our first outing with RAEL.  It was pretty much just a trial run - a "canary in a coal mine", if you will...  The house was packed and so was the stage.  Sal was in constant danger of being whacked in the face if Mike turned too quickly, Rob was isolated from all on stage left, Lloyd got a workout having to jump on and off the stage for costume changes and Paul was entrenched behind the drums, not to exit until his set was dismantled.  The show was a smashing success and established that this band was only going to be playing large stages and venues in the future.
